Turmoil Rising

It’s getting ugly over in Cairo.  It seems as though supporters of President Hosni Mubarak and anti-protestors have began an even more intense battle.  Both sides are very passionate about there views and want to be heard.  So passionate that anything will do in order to protect them and place fear into their adversaries.  Camels, horses, wielding whips, and street paraphernalia are the equalizers between these raging groups.  This situation has escalated so much that U.S. officials have issued statements stating that the situation in Egypt is “out of control”.

Some people feel as though this could be the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Others don’t want Islamic radicals to gain any momentum.  Most Americans by now have heard of the attacks on American journalists.  So, what kind of effect do you think this will have on Americans wanting to explore?

Americans right now are at the discretion of those over in Egypt.  That means whatever they feel like reporting and sharing is what we’ll see.  Most likely there will be more social network followers now that we see that a physical presence could come under attack.  My personally feelings are why do we as Americans remain to stay in other countries business like it’s our battle.  I understand that we are beneficiaries of this countries oil and some resources, but is it necessary for us to send reporters and journalist on the battle line and forefront of the turmoil to report issues that are second nature to us.  Think about this and respond to this question.  I’m looking for great feedback.
